E is for Essential Oils

It's been about a year now, that I began using essential oils for various things. My original main purpose was I was searching for something which might help alleviate some of the discomfort of fibroid cysts in my uterus, as well as some relief from stress headaches, which occasionally lead to migraines.

A friend in Montana introduced me to doTerra, and I soon signed up as a wellness advocate.

Each morning, I begin the day with a glass of warm water, with a drop of lemon in it. Throughout the day, I alternate between lemon and grapefruit essential oil in my water. It certainly helps to cover the taste of the nasty chlorine in our "city" water!

Most days I also take the vitamins, and a drop of the protective blend, which helps boost my immune system. I have noticed over the past year, that I have decreased (quite dramatically) my intake of acetaminophen. Hopefully that makes my liver happy. <grin>

We (Little Bit and I) like to apply oils to our bug bites and bruises. Botanist Boy gets a better sleep when he diffuses oils in his bedroom at night.

I know there is a lot of information circulating about essential oils these days. It's enough to make one's head spin! And I certainly don't have all of the answers; in fact, I have very few. I have a Pinterest board that has some information. doTerra has a Pinterest board, as well. You can also find more on this blog.

The only "sales pitch" I will make: if you have any interest in essential oils, contact me. I'd be glad to get you information. I'd also be glad to help you get started using essential oils yourself, if you're interested in signing up as a customer.

  1. I love the idea about putting a drop in water! I can't stand the taste of water and sometimes add a little juice. This is a much better idea!

  3. I had a friend introduce me to DoTerra oils a little over a year ago, and I'm so thankful she did (even if I don't always stick to DoTerra brand oils).

  5. I'm probably the most skeptical person on the planet about EOs, but I'm slowly learning and coming to find them useful.
