Twenty-five years??!!

Do you ever have a day, weekend, event that makes you feel a little old?

Well, the weekend of March 31, April 1 & 2, was such a time for me!  I attended my 25th high school class reunion.  It was great to see all my old classmates (and we are older now!!;-) ).

One of the guys had reserved the lodge for us, at the boarding school we had attended.  The view from that lodge is priceless!!  It was so peaceful and relaxing!  And such a pleasant place to just hang out and visit, catching up on each others' lives.

Of the class of 20 of us who actually graduated, there were 11 of us there!  And there were some who also came, who had attended with us at sometime during the years we were there.  Of this group (those who attended but didn't graduate from the academy with us), there were 6 who made it during the weekend!  It was fun to see them, too!!

It was fun to listen to them interacting with each other, especially Friday evening while we were preparing for the evening meeting.  The guys, especially, talked to each other just the same way they did when we were in school together, all those years ago!

Jennifer made friends with the daughter of one of the guys.  She is the same age as Jennifer--and she told Jennifer she wants to go to school there when it is time to enter high school/academy.  That has encouraged Jennifer to want to go there, too!

We were also checking out the school for Timothy to attend, next school year.  We had sent in his application.  We finished up the paper work while we were there, and he had an interview with a school representative, also.

I had fun, showing the kids around the school.  We walked out to the waterfalls, and drove around the campus, etc.  I took Jennifer through the girls' dorm, and Timothy through the boys' dorm.  And Timothy would stand for a long time on the deck of the lodge, soaking in the view.  I know this will be the best place for him to go to school; he will grow spiritually, academically, socially, even emotionally, there.  By the way, he received his acceptance letter last Friday!  And he was grinning from ear to ear!!!

The weekend was wonderful.  I hope I don't have to wait 15 years to see these classmates of mine again!  I know that I will see some of them sooner, much sooner, than that!  Because maybe at least one of them will send their child there next year, too!

I'll let you see why I love this place!!
