This year on the The Old Schoolhouse crew, we have been receiving some of the funnest items to review: games! It's definitely been exciting!Recently we were sent Say Anything Family Edition, by NorthStar Games. We've definitely enjoyed this game! Yes, even hubby; even my step daughter; even my 20 year old (when we can drag him away from his computer games or his constant texting! ;) ).
Say Anything contains:- 360 topics on 60 question cards
- 6 dry erase boards
- 6 dry erase pens
- 1 SELECT-O-MATIC 6000
- 12 player tokens
- 1 dry erase scoreboard
- 1 full color rules
It's fun, and simple, to play. Each of the question cards says: In my opinion..... Then lists three questions from which to choose. After the person with the card reads one of the questions, the rest of the players write their answers on the dry erase boards, then place them face up in the middle (I'd say on the table, but most of the time we play sitting around the living room, usually with the kids on the floor near where hubby and I are seated on couch/chair).
We have had unbelievable fun with this game. Sometimes hubby will write his answer before the question is even read, just to be funny. Then after the question is read, sometimes he'll stick with the answer he first wrote, or he may change it...what ever strikes his fancy! ;) It's really fun trying to guess what the person who read the question might actually choose for his/her answer.
Some of the questions that may be asked: In my opinion......
- What's the best game to play in the backyard?
- Where's the best place to have a birthday party?
- Which country would I most want to visit?
- What's going through my head right now?
- What's the best way to relax?
- What's the most useless thing students learn in school?
As you can see, there are no wrong answers, because you are guessing the questioner's opinions! Sometimes the answers can be serious; often they are hilarious. They definitely help you get better acquainted with your friends and family! :D This is a great game for family gatherings, such as during the holidays, or family reunions.
Plan a weekly family game night. Say Anything will make a great addition to your repertoire!
