Scripture and a Snapshot, June 30, 2013


When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet. 
~Proverbs 3:24, NKJV.

From the time my oldest was an infant, I have prayed this prayer over my children, most nights when they were younger. For some reason, it isn't as often now. I suppose I have just grown out of the habit, sadly.

Now I need to claim this promise for myself, since I struggle with bouts of insomnia!

    Sweet! I used to remind my daughter of this Scripture and pray it with her when she struggled with nightmares and a fear of the dark.
