G is for Gladiolus

G is for Gladiolus




My mother's favorite flower is the Gladiolus. Probably one reason is that the Glad is the birth flower for her birth month: August. You must admit, though, they are quite stunning, don't you think?

Gladiolus is a perennial, which blooms in summer. The flowers grow on tall spikes, which make them a good choice as a back border.
