DNG Review: Mother's Day

Mother's Day is coming! Yes, I know; everyone is focused on Easter this weekend, but the truth is, Mother's Day isn't very far away! And now is the time to plan, if you want your children to make gifts to mail to Grandma! ;)

What funner way to learn about Mother's Day than through a Download N Go? The past several days, we have been doing just that.

Download N Go units are 5-day studies designed especially for your K-4 student. Each unit is full of information; notebooking pages, lapbooking elements, web links, and video clips.

The Mother's Day Download N Go guides your student through the history of Mother's Day, how and when Mother's Day is celebrated in other countries, and highlights a different mother from the Bible each day. Also your children will work on a special lapbook each day, to give to Mom on Mother's Day.

My children, from Teen Girl down to Little Bit have been working on this unit. I even printed off the lapbook elements for my step daughter, so she could make one for her mom the next time she is here for a weekend visit.

We have gone through the lessons all together, then I send the kids off to work on the lapbook, under Teen Girl's supervision. Perhaps, then, there will be a bit of an element of surprise for Mom on Mother's Day! ;-)

The daily objectives for Mother's Day are:

Day 1: What Is Mother's Day
Day 2: The History of Mother's Day
Day 3: Celebrating Mother's Day
Day 4: Preparations for Mother's Day
Day 5: Goodies for Mother's Day

Each Download N Go unit is available for $7.95.
