Can you believe it? A new year, 2011....It totally amazes me how quickly the year seems to fly by. It was pleasant spending a few days for Christmas with my family. The children enjoyed spending time with cousins, with Uncle taking them to the indoor water park, playing dominoes with Grandma and Grandpa and Auntie.
Grandpa told a story or two of when he was a boy on a Wisconsin dairy farm. Some of the stories some of the grandkids had heard, many times, but some of them were new stories, mainly the ones from one my brothers and I were children.
Holidays are such special times to be together as family; and it rarely happens any more for us. In fact, this was my youngest child's first trip ever to Texas!!
This week, we are able to continue celebrating, a little; my birthday is day after tomorrow. I imagine that means I have to prepare my own birthday meals, but oh, well!! Maybe my daughter will make the cake..... ;-)
