Memoir Mondays--Week 10

Well, Thanksgiving is past. Today is my husband's birthday. Next week is my middle son's 11th birthday. My husband and I will celebrate our anniversary in a couple weeks. And then we have Christmas, the New Year....and my birthday. So the next month or so will be whirlwind-busy around here!

This week's questions are: Did your family participate in Black Friday? Was is something you looked forward to? If they didn't, what was the tradition for the Friday after Thanksgiving?

I don't remember that we ever did Black Friday shopping....or even if there was such a thing way back then! And I don't really remember any special tradition on that Friday, either. And I certainly won't participate in Black Friday shopping now! I don't like crowds!! And I don't really like getting up really early, just to go shopping, and hassle with all those people. I don't even want to go do any necessary shopping from about mid-November, until well into January. Ugh!!

Did you wish you had more brothers or sisters? Why?

Well, I don't have any sisters, and I certainly always wished I had at least one. There are times I still wish it...I used to envy some of my friends who had sisters. I didn't really want to do that to my daughter, but look what I did to her! I gave her three brothers, not just two!! Poor girl! (At least now she has a step sister! ;) )

  1. Hi Wendy,

My daughter has three brothers as well. Poor thing. She's queen of the hill, though. She cried when she found out my last baby was a boy - she SO wanted a girl. I told her she had the best of the situation because she didn't have to share. My sister also had three boys and a girl Poor girls... :-)
