TOS Review: Talking Fingers~Wordy Qwerty

This year, along with several math products, we have also had the opportunity to use and review products focusing on various language arts skills. They have helped the boys make progress in reading and in writing/spelling skills.

Wordy Qwerty is one such product, which is a sequel to Read, Write & Type.

After successfully completing Read, Write & Type Learning System, most 6-7 year olds are able to write any word they can say. But they may not spell them all correctly, because they need to know a bit more about spelling conventions and about how words are constructed in English. Wordy Qwerty – Foundations for Reading and Writing Fluency picks up where the award-winning software, the Read, Write & Type Learning System, leaves off, taking 7-9 year olds through the next steps of reading and writing fluency.

Wordy Qwerty consists of 20 consecutive lessons, woven together with fun-to-play games and delightful songs that will stay in their heads (and an audio CD they can play in the car or on their audio CD player).

Both Botanist Boy and Little Bit had use of this program. Botanist Boy didn't care for it that much, but Little Bit seemed to enjoy it pretty well. I know anything with sound is going to attract him! So he found the songs appealing.
