In the past couple weeks, several disasters have occurred.
First there was the bridge that collapsed in Minneapolis. I have cousins who travel over that bridge nearly every day! And both of them had been over it that day. Then there was the mine collapse in Utah, followed by one in Illinois or Indiana (I can't remember which, now). Then a horrendous earthquake in Peru. And right now, hurricane Dean is roaring through the Caribbean.
I know there have been a couple pretty tough hurricanes in the Pacific this season, as well. Then there is all the flooding in Texas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, and I don't even know where all else. Not to mention the dreadful heat this summer, too.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Matthew 24:7. Revelation 16: 8The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire. 9They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.
