Cranberry Thanksgiving

One of our annual traditions is to pull out the book, Cranberry Thanksgiving, and read it around Thanksgiving time. We were first introduced to this book through Five in a Row.

Even though the boys are 12 and nearly 15, they were glad to see me pull out the book! In fact, Botanist Boy said it is one of his most favorite books!

This year, after reading the book, I had Little Bit mark on a map where most of the cranberries are grown in the United States.

We also watched a couple videos on YouTube:

And finally, we made Grandmother's Famous Cranberry Bread (recipe on the back of the book!):
Maybe you want to take time today, or some other day this week, to read this enjoyable book, along with these activities.

Shared resources in 2015.

Delightful Learning
