Grace and Truth Books {Schoolhouse Review Crew}

We're book people. Most educators are, I think. It's always fun to find new book sources, isn't it?

Grace & Truth Books is an online Christian book store, which doesn't follow the latest trends. Rather, it "is built on a different approach: what will glorify God, strengthen His people in their walk, and call all peoples to find joy in knowing His gospel and following Him."

The past few weeks, the Review Crew has been reading various books offered by Grace & Truth Books. At our home, we received Of Knights and Fair Maidens.

Of Knights and Fair Maidens was written by Jeff & Danielle Myers, originally published in 1996, and brought back in print in 2012, in hardcover. According to Grace & Truth Books, it was one of their most requested out of print book for several years.

Jeff and Danielle were determined to do things differently. With this in mind, they interviewed married couples to discover the keys to a successful courtship, then applied these principles in their own relationship. Later, they wrote this heart-warming, conversational book.

The style of this book is in a question and answer format, like they were being interviewed. Very conversationally written, and a fairly quick read, which is perfect for young men, especially.

Main topics covered are: Rethinking Relationships; Important Steps to Great Relationships; and How to "Do" Courtship.

I've read through the book; Jen is working her way through it. I hope I can persuade Tim to read it, as well. They haven't gotten into the "dating" scene yet, so this would be a good guide for them, before they do. This way, they could have a more educated choice in whether they wanted to date, or do courtship. Of Knights and Fair Maidens will give them a picture of what is involved in a courtship relationship.

Of Knights and Fair Maidens costs $9.75, and is recommended for ages 14-19.
