My son, the one in the TTAT post this week, will be 17 in September. He was diagnosed with type 1 two weeks after his 4th birthday, so it'll be 13 years of D on September 30th this year. (OMG...my 3rd teenager, LOL!!!)

Tell your daughter that she's not alone, and that though the battle is a mighty one, if she walks it in obedience to Christ, He WILL reward her for the role He has given her to play on this earth. In the meanwhile, we are praying for a cure, working and giving for a cure (to the DRI in Miami), and occasionally networking on Jeff Hitchcock's "CWD" site (I assume you already know of it, but if not, you can find it at http://www.childrenwithdiabetes.com ).

Happy Birthday, dd!!! Enjoy your cake today, that's what insulin is for... :-D

God Bless you,
IllinoisLori at Plans4Youillinoislorihhttp://homeschoolblogger.com/members/illinoislorih/noreply@blogger.com
